Client – Innogen Australia Pty Ltd.

Date of completion: October 2014

During 2013 and 2014, Innogen Australia engaged Purple Life to project manage the delivery of the works involved in the creation of electrical embedded networks at Melbourne Central, Dandenong Plaza, Chirnside Park, Parkmore Shopping Centre and the balance of Highpoint Shopping Centre.

This project involved the co-ordination and management of a project team consisting of electrical consultants, embedded network specialists, WHS consultants, metering specialists, builders and electricians.

Purple Life worked closely with members of the centre management team and project team to facilitate the execution of all contracted works which included the detailed planning and co-ordination of electrical shutdowns as well as all tenant communications and negotiations.

“This was a fabulous project to work on as the scope of services was extensive and varied, ranging from the preparation of Major Works Contracts, Specialist Services & Professional Services Agreements, to the financial management and reporting of all project costs, management of all consultants, contractors and specialist suppliers , and liaison/communications with the centre management team, councils, network service providers and tenants. The hours were long as the shut downs involved overnight works, however it was personally satisfying to deliver the projects on time, safely and within budget. It was also enjoyable to utilise a myriad of skills in the one project, and to develop a heightened understanding of how embedded networks operate. Again, working with a group of wonderful people is always a pleasure and both personally and professionally rewarding!”
